Processing Chronic Pain

Processing Chronic Pain - Lavender Counselling
The Group

Are you struggling with the effects of living alongside chronic pain? Do you feel weighed down by the burden of chronic pain underlying everything that you do? Embodied in the foundation of this group is the recognition that for people who live with chronic pain they may face a sense of loss and grief through not only what could have been, but the daily challenges of facing the world in a body that is no longer what it was before their pain. To live with chronic pain is an ongoing and complex journey of mental and physical health struggles that warrants a great amount of resiliency and strength.
Join us as we explore how the nervous system works and how it is impacted living alongside chronic pain. This group will offer you practices that will deepen your awareness of yourself and offers education about how to cope and build resiliency. We will guide you through experiential activities to support you in re-negotiating your relationship with pain as you come together with others similarly struggling.
